The Italian Trio Sonata: October 13-15

Chatham Baroque sets the stage for our season of “threes,” featuring the many permutations of the trio sonata, with works by Vivaldi and fellow Italian masters Corelli, Bertali, and Castello.  With guests Leon Schelhase (harpsichord) and Paul Miller (violin).

Annual Art of the Trio Concert: November 10-12

Artistic Directors Andrew Fouts (violin), Patricia Halverson (viola da gamba), and Scott Pauley (theorbo & baroque guitar) present their annual trio concert, showcasing their most adventurous and virtuosic music, tight ensemble playing, and mischievous sense of fun.

A Jubilant Season: December 15-17

The incomparable French Canadian soprano, Pascale Beaudin, returns to our stage for a joyful program of holiday favorites, including J. S. Bach’s exuberant cantata Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen for soprano, baroque trumpet, and strings. With guests Pascale Beaudin (soprano), Evan Few (violin), Kristen Linfante (viola), Alan Lewis (chamber organ), Shelby Lewis (natural trumpet).

Bach and the Trio Sonata: February 9-11

Chatham Baroque unveils their own inventive arrangements of J. S. Bach’s famous Organ Trios, orchestrating them for violin, recorder, viola da gamba, theorbo, and keyboard. With guests Anne Timberlake (recorder) and Justin Wallace (historical keyboards).

The Three Violins: April 13-15

With virtuoso violinists in harmonious concert, Chatham Baroque explores the rarely-performed repertoire of music for three violins and continuo. Hear the music of Marini, Schmelzer, Purcell, alongside one of the most famous Baroque pieces of all time: Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D. With guests Evan Few and Edwin Huizinga (violins), and David Walker (theorbo & baroque guitar).
