Sweet Sorrow

This program features Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, one of the most recognized and soulful works composed for the Lenten season. Rounded out by glorious sonatas for string band and continuo by Biber, Schmelzer, J.C. Bach, and Marini, this program embodies gravitas and ethereal beauty.
