Handel’s Messiah with Pittsburgh Camerata
Although popular in December, the premiere performance took place at Easter-time in Dublin on April 13, 1742. Our performance matches this time-frame, and offers an opportunity to hear this profound work at this unique time of the year. Handel scored his sacred oratorio for modest forces, both for chorus and instruments, offering optional settings to accommodate various available resources. Our performance will match Handel’s original intention. TICKETS
